About the role

We are looking for an experienced School Premises Officer to join a welcoming school in Lewisham. This full‑time, five‑day‑a‑week position involves maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for pupils and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance and security of the school premises.
• Ensure the site is safe, clean, well‑presented and secure.
• Carry out regular checks, inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate repairs and liaise with contractors and external service providers.
• Support compliance with health & safety, fire safety and statutory requirements.
• Manage site‑related issues efficiently and proactively.
• Contribute to the smooth daily running of the school site.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar premises or facilities role within a school setting.
• A relevant degree is preferred, though strong practical experience is essential.
• Good understanding of health & safety, fire safety and statutory regulations.
