Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Fully Funded Training

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham for a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is a genuine career development opportunity for a recent graduate who aspires to become a teacher. You will start as a TA supporting the Science department, gaining hands‑on classroom experience before progressing onto a fully funded teacher‑training route.

Key responsibilities

• Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and varying ability levels in Science lessons.
• Deliver targeted interventions and small‑group teaching under the guidance of qualified teachers.
• Assist classroom teachers with lesson delivery, ensuring all students make strong progress.
• Work one‑to‑one with pupils who require additional support to access the curriculum.
• Help with marking, resource preparation, and classroom organisation.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a strong interest in science education.
• Aspiration to become a qualified teacher.
• Ability to work with diverse learners, including those with SEN.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
