Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) – KS3/KS4

About the role

Randstad Education is recruiting a passionate Science Teacher to inspire secondary‑school students in Sharnbrook. You will deliver engaging Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons for KS3 and KS4, using hands‑on experiments to bring theory to life.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach high‑impact science lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
• Manage classroom and laboratory safety, prepare resources and assess student progress.
• Facilitate practical experiments that link scientific concepts to real‑world applications.
• Differentiate instruction to challenge high achievers while supporting learners who need extra help.
• Collaborate with the science faculty, contribute to department planning and support extra‑curricular STEM activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS; early‑career teachers are welcome.
• Proven experience teaching science in a UK secondary school.
• Strong commitment to lab safety, classroom management and student engagement.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Willingness to hold an Enhanced DBS check (or process one through Randstad).

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK secondary science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Laboratory safety procedures and practical experiment setup.
