Science Teacher

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Science Teachers to deliver KS3 and KS4 curriculum across secondary schools in Middlesbrough. The role offers immediate start dates and the flexibility to work full‑time, part‑time or on a supply basis.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with department staff and senior leadership.
• Support students with additional needs where required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) – or strong FE Science teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
• Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics.
