About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Newham, London, starting in September. The role involves delivering the KS3 and KS4 science curriculum to a diverse student body, supported by Learning Support Assistants.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team and science department specialists.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student achievement.
Required profile
- Experience teaching science to KS3/KS4 students in the UK.
- A relevant science degree.
- Teaching qualification such as QTS or QTLS (preferred) or equivalent.
- Proactive, innovative and able to motivate learners.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
