SCM Logistic and Distribution Manager

About the role

Join a leading transformation company to shape large‑scale supply chain change for a critical public‑sector client. As the SCM Logistic and Distribution Manager you will guide the end‑to‑end logistics and distribution redesign, aligning people, processes and technology to deliver measurable benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current logistics and distribution processes, identifying pain points and data gaps.
• Review existing systems and data flows supporting business operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define target operating models for logistics and distribution.
• Identify change requirements and dependencies across people, process and technology.
• Define IT landscape changes, sequencing and integration considerations.
• Work with project management teams to secure necessary resources.
• Produce high‑quality requirements and design documentation, including Business Requirements Documents.
• Support delivery teams to ensure realisation of defined benefits.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in operational logistics, covering warehouse management, automation, transport management and tracking in B2B and B2C settings.
• Functional expertise with leading Warehouse Management Systems and Transport Management Systems.
• Proven ability to operate under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work across cross‑functional teams.
• Track record of solving operational issues through process or technology solutions that deliver quantifiable business value.
• Experience leading analysis sessions to capture functional and technical requirements and design fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
