Scrub Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join a well‑established private hospital in Glasgow. You will become an integral part of a skilled theatre team, supporting a wide variety of surgical procedures in a modern, fully equipped environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare operating theatres for diverse surgical cases.
• Act as a scrub practitioner across multiple specialties.
• Assist surgeons and the wider theatre team throughout procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and uphold infection‑control standards.
• Handle, account for, and ensure the correct use of all surgical instruments and equipment.
• Deliver safe, high‑quality patient care throughout the peri‑operative pathway.

Required profile

• NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered ODP.
• Previous experience working in a scrub role.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and theatre practice.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
