Scrub Practitioner – Operating Department (Theatre)

About the role

Join Ramsay Health Care's Theatre department as a Scrub Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) and support orthopaedic surgical teams in delivering high‑quality patient care. You will work in state‑of‑the‑art theatres equipped with laminar airflow systems and advanced integrated technology, with access to the Ramsay Academy for further professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide sterile scrub support for orthopaedic procedures, including hip and knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions.
• Maintain a sterile field and assist surgeons throughout the operation.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.

Required profile

• HCPC or NMC registration with no restrictions.
• Proven surgical scrub experience in orthopaedics.
• Surgical First Assist (SFA) qualification desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible, positive attitude and empathetic character.
