Scrum Master

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master to join our Digital, Data and Cloud team at Version 1 Solutions Limited in Edinburgh. The role will drive Agile practices, facilitate Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews/demos and retrospectives.
• Coach the development team on Scrum, Lean and DevOps principles and suggest process improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with product owners to conduct business analysis activities such as requirements gathering, process mapping, wire‑framing and gap analysis.
• Prioritise and maintain the product backlog, ensuring items are well defined, understood and properly estimated.
• Develop and maintain data‑related documentation and requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and data‑driven performance measurement.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Scrum methodology and Agile frameworks.
• Proven ability to coach and guide teams on Lean and DevOps practices.
• Excellent business analysis skills with experience translating stakeholder needs into actionable user stories.
• Ability to work collaboratively with product owners, developers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Commitment to fostering continuous improvement and data‑centric decision making.
