SDLC & Release Automation Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

About the role

Citi is looking for a server‑side engineer to join the Developer Enablement team within the CTO organisation. The role focuses on automating release processes and improving the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for thousands of engineers across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the Release on Demand (RoD) platform to generate production run‑books and ServiceNow change requests automatically.
• Drive the SDLC Automation greenfield project, exploring AI‑based solutions to streamline approvals and reward best‑practice adoption.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed modern delivery practices and DORA metrics.
• Identify and implement productivity gains that translate into significant cost savings.

Required profile

• Strong enthusiasm for automation, productivity tooling, and modern software delivery.
• Experience working in large, regulated environments is a plus.
• Ability to challenge existing processes and propose innovative solutions.
