Secondary Geography Teacher – Flexible Supply Roles

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Secondary Geography Teacher to deliver engaging Physical and Human Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in schools throughout Warrington. The role offers flexible daily supply, short‑term cover and longer block placements starting in September.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dynamic Geography lessons, covering both physical and human topics.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit different schools, year groups and student abilities.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback and support.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate with Humanities departments and contribute to departmental planning.

Required profile

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the UK Geography curriculum for KS3‑KS4 (and optional KS5).
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Based in or able to commute to schools across Warrington.
