Secondary Humanities Teacher (Key Stages 3‑4)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Humanities teacher to join a well‑established secondary school in Trafford for the September 2026 start. The role involves delivering engaging lessons in History, Geography and Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inspiring Humanities lessons that develop curiosity and critical thinking.
• Create an inclusive classroom where every pupil is challenged to achieve their best.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress through effective feedback and targeted interventions.
• Collaborate with the Humanities department to develop curriculum resources and share best practice.
• Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and extracurricular programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS by September 2026.
• A degree in History, Geography, Religious Education or a related Humanities subject.
• Genuine passion for Humanities education and inspiring young people.
• Strong classroom management, communication and organisational abilities.
• High expectations for student achievement, behaviour and personal development.
• Reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
