Secondary Mathematics Teacher (ECTs & Experienced Teachers)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Mathematics teacher to join a high‑performing secondary school in Rochdale. The position is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners and starts in September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (potential Key Stage 5 opportunities for suitable candidates).
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire students of all abilities.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and achievement.
• Assess, monitor and provide effective feedback to track student progress.
• Collaborate with the Mathematics department to share best practice and contribute to departmental improvement.
• Participate in wider school life through enrichment activities and pastoral support.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS by September 2026.
• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Passion for high‑quality teaching and learning.
• Strong communication and classroom‑management abilities.
• High expectations for student achievement, behaviour and personal development.
• Reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional growth.
