Secondary Maths Teacher – Chester – September Start

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Secondary Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Chester for the new academic year starting September. The role involves planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑quality maths lessons that meet the UK curriculum.
• Monitor and assess student progress, mark work and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and uphold behaviour standards.
• Collaborate with the maths department to support curriculum development and school goals.

Required profile

• A degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
• Experience teaching the UK secondary mathematics curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Based in or able to commute to Chester.
