Secondary Maths Teacher – Harlow

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join a Good‑rated secondary school in Harlow. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, teaching students aged 11‑16 across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will help learners build confidence, develop problem‑solving skills and achieve strong exam results.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, differentiated mathematics lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.
- Collaborate with the mathematics department and wider school team on curriculum development and intervention programmes.
- Contribute to enrichment activities and extra‑curricular maths events.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, covering KS3 and KS4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Deep subject knowledge in Mathematics.
