About the role
Academics is seeking a passionate Secondary Music Teacher for a long‑term placement at a supportive secondary school in the Cheshire area, starting in September. The role offers a competitive daily rate and the opportunity to join a dedicated teaching team.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential KS5 opportunities).
- Monitor student progress, mark work and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a positive, productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Maths department to contribute to the school’s curriculum goals.
Required profile
- A degree in Mathematics (or a related field) and/or UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ECT).
- Previous experience teaching the UK Mathematics curriculum at secondary level.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to make complex concepts accessible.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Based in or able to commute to Cheshire.
