Secondary School Teacher (QTS)

About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting qualified secondary teachers for schools across Chorley and surrounding areas in Lancashire. The position offers both day‑to‑day supply work and longer‑term placements starting in September 2026, providing flexibility and stability for teachers at any stage of their career.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons within your subject specialism or provide general cover.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
• Follow school policies and maintain effective classroom management.
• Assess and monitor student progress, particularly in long‑term assignments.
• Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and school leaders.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible, professional and reliable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
