Secondary SEN Teacher – Inclusive Education in Ashford

About the role
We are seeking passionate Secondary SEN Teachers to join our client’s specialist schools in Ashford. The role involves delivering tailored, inclusive education for pupils with autism, SEMH and complex learning needs, starting in September.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the unique needs of SEN pupils.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and other staff to support individual learning plans.
- Regularly assess progress and adapt strategies to promote academic and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers and external professionals.
- Uphold school safeguarding and SEN policies at all times.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching secondary‑aged pupils with SEN, particularly ASD, SEMH and complex needs.
- Knowledge of appropriate strategies and interventions for secondary SEN learners.
- Strong communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced Child‑only DBS (or willingness to obtain).
- Full legal right to work in the UK.
