Secondary SEN Teacher – Medway (Sept start)

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Secondary SEN Teachers to join our client’s specialist schools in Medway, Kent, for upcoming September placements. You will work with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, SEMH challenges and complex learning needs, delivering inclusive education that supports both academic and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEN profiles.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and multidisciplinary staff to implement individual learning plans.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents, carers and external professionals.
- Uphold safeguarding and SEN policies at all times.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching secondary‑aged pupils with SEN, particularly ASD, SEMH or complex needs.
- Strong knowledge of strategies and interventions for secondary SEN learners.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced Child‑only DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and full legal right to work in the UK.
