Secondary SEND Tutor – Full‑time (Hounslow)

About the role

The London Borough of Hounslow, working with Remedy Tutors, is seeking a dedicated Secondary SEND Tutor to deliver personalised learning for secondary‑aged and post‑16 learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will join the LEAD Tuition & Targeted Learning team, supporting young people to overcome barriers, build confidence and progress towards further education, employment or independent living.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised SEND learning programmes for secondary and post‑16 students.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with learners, families, schools, colleges and partner agencies.
• Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to multi‑agency reviews.
• Collaborate with external professionals to support learners in overcoming educational barriers.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation.

Required profile

• Passionate and experienced teacher with a commitment to supporting young people with SEND.
• Experience working with secondary‑aged and post‑16 learners.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
