Secondary Supply Teacher (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic secondary supply teachers to join our team on a temporary, ad‑hoc basis. You will step into classrooms across the South East, delivering pre‑prepared or subject‑specific lessons and ensuring continuity of education when regular staff are unavailable.

Key responsibilities

• Cover lessons across various subjects in secondary schools, ensuring continuity of learning when the regular teacher is absent.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and follow each institution’s policies and procedures.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a constructive learning atmosphere.
• Implement safeguarding measures and promote a safe environment for pupils.
• Provide feedback on student performance and report any significant incidents to the regular teaching staff and school administration.

Required profile

• Experience teaching at secondary level (Qualified Teacher Status desirable but not essential).
• Strong classroom and behavioural management abilities.
• Good understanding of current safeguarding and welfare requirements.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
