Secondary Teaching Assistant – Brighton

About the role

Engage Education is seeking enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to support students in a range of welcoming secondary schools across Brighton. This full‑time, onsite position offers the chance to work directly with pupils, teachers and school staff to create a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support students both inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support where needed.
• Help foster an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere.
• Encourage students to achieve their full potential.

Required profile

• Positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to obtain a valid Enhanced DBS (cost covered by Engage Education).
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
