Secondary Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a school in Heywood on a full‑time, temporary basis. You will work closely with students who have additional needs, providing one‑to‑one support across a range of subjects. Your contribution will help create an inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to students with additional needs.
• Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and strategies.
• Support students in accessing the curriculum and completing tasks.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure individual needs are met.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and feedback.

Required profile

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience.
• Passion for working with students with diverse needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to cover lessons when needed (preferred).
• Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo DBS and reference checks.
