Security Architect

About the role

Leidos is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join the team at a customer site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. You will work closely with engineering and delivery teams to design, assure and maintain a resilient cyber security posture across a complex government estate.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain security architecture that meets functional and non‑functional security requirements.
• Apply Secure by Design (SbD) principles and align solutions with HMG standards, including MOD‑specific JSPs.
• Use frameworks such as NIST CSF and RMF to provide assurance and risk treatment.
• Lead service acceptance reviews, ensuring all security artefacts meet required standards.
• Support secure delivery of new systems and transformation of existing services.
• Produce high‑level and low‑level security designs informed by detailed risk analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cyber security architect in highly sensitive or government environments.
• Strong understanding of cyber risk and proportionate risk‑treatment approaches.
• Ability to communicate risk and security concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working with customer and supplier representatives on security design.
