Security Associate – 12 month contract

About the role

This is a 12‑month contract position supporting the busy Security Team at BAE Systems in Warton. The role is administrative in nature, working within Security Operations and reporting to the Security Senior Professional.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational, physical and personnel security tasks to protect people, assets and information.
• Own and update the electronic Programme Access Request database.
• Maintain the Security Clearance progress spreadsheet.
• Manage International Visit Control Office (IVCO) lists.
• Control and protect classified material, keeping accurate records of receipt, transfer, loan, destruction and mustering.
• Provide security briefings, support induction processes and maintain related records.
• Support local, contractor and maintenance visits to secure facilities.
• Maintain and update compliance plans in line with government and company security policies.
• Assist the Programme Security Manager and advise internal and external stakeholders on security matters.

Required profile

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Awareness of security processes, protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow established procedures.
