Security Driver – Class 1 & 3.5t Vehicles

About the role

Freightserve is seeking experienced Security Drivers to transport high‑value freight for a specialised freight forwarding operation based near Heathrow. You will operate 3.5‑ton Class 1 vehicles, ensuring safe collection, delivery and documentation of shipments while representing the company with a professional appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company 3.5‑ton Class 1 vehicles to collect and deliver freight in line with operating procedures.
• Secure goods, verify paperwork and ensure accurate loading/unloading.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete defect reports.
• Scan and upload proof‑of‑delivery (POD) immediately after each drop.
• Communicate collection and delivery details via email or telephone.
• Provide high‑level customer service and uphold a smart, professional appearance.
• Follow site security, health and safety regulations and report any breaches.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with experience driving 3.5 t vehicles.
• Good verbal and written English.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and team‑oriented attitude.
• Professional appearance.
• Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check, reference verification and driving licence check.
