Security Engineer – Grade E (Edinburgh/London) – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are looking for a Security Engineer (Grade E) to join our CISO team, based in either Edinburgh or London, on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will play a key part in deploying, configuring and managing essential security controls across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain a suite of security tools covering Defender XDR, Microsoft 365, data security and web/email controls.
• Collaborate with security specialists, cloud and infrastructure providers to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Coach cyber‑security staff from a technical SME perspective.
• Provide security deliverables for projects and change initiatives, guiding implementation and validating solutions before go‑live.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education in Information Security or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISSP or CSSLP.
• Proven experience implementing and managing security tooling suites.
• Subject‑matter expertise in at least three of the listed security domains.
