Security Engineer (Network & Device Security)

About the role

We are supporting a leading independent provider of project engineering in Redhill, seeking a Security Engineer to join their growing team. This permanent, full‑time position focuses on developing and enforcing information security policies and delivering robust network and device security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop information security plans and policies.
• Implement protections and solutions to enforce security policies.
• Act as a centre of excellence for network and device security.
• Design, build, test, commission and troubleshoot security solutions such as IDS, IPM and SIEM.
• Write and maintain configuration documentation, schematics, support guides and related materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and managing secure networks.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.
• Familiarity with compliance standards ISO27001 and ITIL.
• Experience with security toolsets including SIEM, IDS/IPS and penetration testing tools.
• Knowledge of Juniper platforms.
• Ability to obtain or hold SC Security Clearance.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
