Security Officer – Corporate Environment (Car/Owner Driver)

About the role

We are looking for a professional and vigilant Security Officer to join our corporate site in Waltham Abbey. Reporting to the Head of Security, you will help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for employees, visitors and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment to ensure continuous site security.
• Conduct regular patrols, inspections and maintain a visible security presence.
• Manage reception duties, welcome visitors, verify identification and enforce access control procedures.
• Record vehicle registration details for deliveries and collections and oversee secure receipt of goods.
• Support emergency procedures, including fire evacuations and incident response, and respond to out‑of‑hours callouts when required.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety legislation, keep accurate incident logs and produce daily reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive coverage and contribute to continuous improvement of security processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a security officer in a corporate or similar environment.
• Professional, vigilant and able to work full‑time Monday‑Friday, 9:00 am‑6:30 pm.
• Willingness to respond to occasional out‑of‑hours incidents.

What we offer

• 12‑month fixed‑term contract with potential extension or permanent placement.
• Salary between £30,000 and £32,000 per annum.
