Security Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join a respected security solutions provider serving the South East of England. Based on the outskirts of Swanley, you will travel across London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Essex, delivering high‑quality service and support for a range of electronic security and fire systems.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and fault‑find a wide variety of fire and electronic security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV and fire alarms.
• Diagnose and resolve system faults quickly to minimise customer disruption.
• Provide technical advice to customers and internal staff.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota, handling emergency call‑outs and telephone support.
• Support the training and development of less experienced engineers.
• Identify and report installation or service non‑conformances.
• Complete service documentation accurately using electronic devices.
• Work safely and comply with industry health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience servicing and maintaining electronic security systems.
• Strong knowledge of intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms and related technologies.
• Experience with multiple brands and integrated security solutions.
• Good understanding of IP networking.
• Valid ECS card, full UK driving licence and ability to pass DBS screening.
• Excellent fault‑finding, communication and customer service skills.

• Salary £32,000‑£45,000 depending on experience.

• Full‑time permanent contract with standard core hours (Mon‑Fri 8:30‑17:00).
