Security Van Driver – Freight Forwarding (Heathrow)

About the role

Freightserve is seeking Security Van Drivers to handle high‑value freight for a specialised freight forwarding operation based near Heathrow. The role involves collecting, transporting and delivering shipments safely while maintaining a professional appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company 3.5‑ton Class 1 vehicles.
• Collect and deliver freight following operating procedures.
• Secure goods and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Keep the vehicle clean and complete defect reports.
• Verify freight accuracy when loading/unloading.
• Scan and upload proof‑of‑delivery documents promptly.
• Communicate collection details via email or phone.
• Provide high levels of customer service and maintain a smart appearance.
• Follow site security and health & safety regulations and report breaches.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (Class 1) with experience driving 3.5 t vehicles.
• Good verbal and written English.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication with clients and colleagues.
• Team‑player attitude and professional appearance.
• Willingness to undergo DBS basic disclosure, 5‑year reference check and licence check.
