Select Investment Advisor – Private Banking (Birmingham)

About the role

Santander is seeking a Select Investment Advisor to join its Private Banking and Select Investments team in Birmingham. You will work directly with customers who have long‑term investment goals, providing clear, regulated advice and helping them achieve plans such as early retirement, education funding, or dream holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver regulated investment advice tailored to each client’s objectives and circumstances.
• Represent the Santander Select and Investments brand within the branch network.
• Identify and engage potential new customers who could benefit from premium investment services.
• Maintain accurate, compliant records in line with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Stay informed on a wide range of financial products and market developments to provide comprehensive, client‑focused guidance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in providing investment advice to retail or private banking clients.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to analyse client needs, clarify objectives, and recommend suitable solutions.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and risk management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of regulated investment advisory processes.
• Familiarity with Santander’s award‑winning investment product suite.
