Self‑Employed Associate Electrical Trainer (Part‑time/Contract)

About the role

This part‑time, self‑employed position involves delivering and assessing electrical engineering training for Service leavers transitioning to civilian careers. You will work on a flexible schedule, planning your availability quarterly and supporting both assessment and occasional classroom delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver City & Guilds electrical courses and assessments to learners at the Resettlement Training Centre.
• Assess written and practical tasks for a range of electrical qualifications.
• Support the Head of Engineering with annual course planning and programme updates.
• Assist with exam administration, including invigilation and marking.
• Maintain a professional, safe training environment and ensure workshop facilities are kept in good order.

Required profile

• Proven experience in delivering or assessing electrical engineering training.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, part‑time schedule.
• Willingness to travel to the Aldershot training centre as required.
