SEMH & Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant (Chigwell)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support young learners aged 5‑11 in SEMH and Alternative Provision settings across Chigwell. You will work alongside class teachers to create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes personal development and social skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pupils with additional needs in daily learning activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to design engaging, interactive lessons.
• Support the development of social skills and positive relationships among students.
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Contribute to the overall wellbeing and progress of each child.

• Genuine interest in supporting young people, especially those with mental‑health needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Willingness to undergo full training.
