SEMH Learning Mentor – Enfield (Full‑time)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to support students aged 11‑19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at a specialist secondary school in Enfield. The role is full‑time, term‑time only, and offers the chance to make a tangible difference in young people’s lives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students with SEMH challenges.
- Build positive relationships that improve engagement, confidence and behaviour.
- Assist students during lessons and throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to help pupils achieve personal and academic goals.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, independence and resilience.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Experience supporting individuals with SEMH, SEND, autism, ADHD or challenging behaviour (desirable).
- Patient, resilient and able to stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
