SEMH Learning Support Assistant – Full‑time, £95‑£115/day

About the role

We are seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist provision in Southwark. You will work with pupils aged 5‑16, helping them regulate emotions, manage behaviour and engage positively with learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Implement and monitor behaviour support strategies in collaboration with teachers and pastoral staff.
• Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
• Contribute to a structured, nurturing learning environment that enables academic and social progress.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant in a specialist setting is desirable.
• Confident in behaviour management and emotional regulation techniques.
• Full‑time availability with an immediate start.
