SEMH School Teacher – Full‑time (Sept 2026)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEMH School Teacher to join a supportive school in Havering, London, starting September 2026. This full‑time position runs until July 2027 with the prospect of a permanent contract from January 2027. You will work with children aged 3‑18 who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them achieve academic and emotional success.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons alongside partner teachers.
- Foster a nurturing environment that supports both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
- Contribute to curriculum development and adapt resources for SEMH learners.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure appropriate resources and support are in place.
- Participate in CPD and career‑development activities.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher with experience in SEMH, or an ECT with a SEN specialism.
- Genuine passion for working with children who have social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Dedicated, inspiring and able to work collaboratively.
