Semi Senior Accountant – Hybrid Role in Preston

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join a forward‑thinking, dynamic accountancy firm in Preston. The practice adopts a modern, innovative approach and serves a diverse portfolio from local businesses to multi‑million‑pound enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality accounting services to a varied client base.
• Prepare statutory accounts, management accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships through phone, email and video meetings.
• Utilise cloud accounting software, primarily Xero, to manage client records.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience within an accountancy practice (non‑contractor).
• Proven experience preparing statutory and management accounts, tax and VAT returns.
• Confident in managing client relationships and communication.
• AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part‑qualified.
• Proactive attitude with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
