Semi Senior Accountant

About the role

TPF Recruitment is hiring a Semi Senior Accountant for a top‑tier accountancy practice in Folkestone. The role offers a blend of accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT work with opportunities for autonomy and study support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts.
• Assist in the production of management accounts.
• Handle personal tax, corporate tax and VAT returns.
• Perform general bookkeeping using Xero or QuickBooks.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and trainees.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
• AAT, ACA or ACCA part‑qualified, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Hands‑on experience with accounts, tax and VAT preparation.
• Ability to commute from Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Tenterden, Faversham, Folkestone or surrounding areas.
