Semi Senior Accountant

About the role
We are looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a dynamic firm of accountants in Maidenhead. The successful candidate will support senior team members with statutory and management accounts while developing their own technical expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare statutory year‑end accounts and assist with advisory work.
- Produce management accounts and support budgeting processes.
- Assist with tax and VAT returns.
- Perform bookkeeping and client liaison duties.
- Provide payroll assistance during busy periods.
- Undertake company secretarial tasks and ad‑hoc projects.
Required profile
- At least one year of experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Part‑qualified or studying for ACCA, ACA or AAT (preferred but not essential).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate with a willingness to learn and develop.
Required skills
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage or Xero accounting software.
