Semi Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join our forward‑thinking accountancy firm in Blackpool. You will deliver high‑quality accounting services while building lasting client relationships across a diverse portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts, management accounts, tax returns and VAT returns.
• Provide bookkeeping services and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage client relationships through phone, email and video meetings.
• Utilise cloud accounting software, primarily Xero, to deliver efficient services.
• Support the team with day‑to‑day accounting tasks and client queries.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice (non‑contractor).
• AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part‑qualified.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Xero (cloud accounting software).
