Semi-skilled Labourer

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard‑working Semi‑skilled Labourer to support our production team in Whitworth. You will work alongside the Production Manager, assisting both shop‑floor and office staff as required.

Key responsibilities

• Assist welders with weld purging when needed.
• Operate industrial saws and drills for component assembly.
• Support store activities, including off‑loading and racking materials.
• Carry out deliveries and collections using company vehicles.
• Help with customer trials in the innovation centre and clean/jet‑wash equipment.
• Perform bead blasting, garden and car‑park maintenance, and general site upkeep.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Obtain a Forklift Truck licence within the first 12 months.

Required profile

• Previous manual or labourer experience is beneficial.
• Physical fitness for manual work.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong work ethic and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Forklift operation (training provided).
• Saw operation.
• Drill operation.
• Bead blasting.
• Weld purging assistance.

What we offer

• £14 per hour with regular overtime.
• 37‑hour week, Monday‑Friday (7:30 am‑4 pm, Friday 7 am‑12 pm).
