SEN Drama Teacher – Post‑16 Autism Specialist (Ealing)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Drama Teacher to join a post‑16 SEN school in Ealing. The successful candidate will deliver engaging drama lessons to students with Autism, many of whom are non‑verbal, and adapt teaching methods to support a wide range of communication and learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver a differentiated drama curriculum for post‑16 students with Autism.
• Adapt lesson content and delivery for non‑verbal learners, using visual and multimodal strategies.
• Collaborate with the SEN team to integrate drama activities that develop communication, independence and life‑skills.
• Monitor, assess and record student progress, providing feedback to students, parents and staff.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and contribute to whole‑school SEN initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience working with post‑16 students with Autism, including non‑verbal learners.
• Ability to start as soon as possible and commit to a full‑time, long‑term position.
• Strong understanding of SEN policies and inclusive teaching practices.
