SEN Education Support Assistant – Trowbridge

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Education Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Trowbridge for the upcoming term. The role is focused on helping pupils with special educational needs access learning, develop socially, and reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with typical teaching assistant duties.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
• Support behaviour management strategies and deliver sensory interventions.
• Assist pupils with communication, social development and personal care where required.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience working with children or young people in schools, youth clubs, community groups or similar settings.
• Patient, resilient, nurturing attitude and genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
