About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Intervention & Behaviour Support Assistant to work across schools in Camden. You will deliver targeted literacy, numeracy and social‑skills interventions for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) and behavioural needs, helping to improve their attainment, engagement and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver literacy, numeracy and social‑skills interventions for individual pupils or small groups.
- Support pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour throughout the school day.
- Monitor progress, record outcomes and provide feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
- Implement positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies in classroom settings.
- Build strong relationships with pupils to boost confidence and engagement.
- Assist teachers with classroom learning and behaviour management.
Required profile
- Experience supporting SEN or SEMH pupils in education, youth work or care settings.
- Confident in managing challenging behaviour.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
Required skills
What we offer
- Full‑time hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
- Pay: £95 per day (PAYE).
- One‑year fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.
