SEN Learning Support Assistant – Farnborough

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in Farnborough who have a range of additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges. You will partner closely with teachers to ensure each child receives personalised support throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance during lessons, activities and transitions.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Adapt learning tasks to suit individual needs and promote independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to deliver consistent support.
• Maintain a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a SEN or care setting.
• Patient, supportive and confident approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Adaptable and reliable team player.
