SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in the London Borough of Greenwich. The role involves supporting students aged 11‑19 who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and behavioural challenges. This full‑time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in an inclusive educational setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist students with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Facilitate engagement in learning activities and help maintain a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to tailor interventions.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional support.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs (desirable but not essential).
• Willingness to commit to a full‑time role in Greenwich/Sutton.
