SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full‑time (London)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in the London Borough of Greenwich. You will work with students aged 11‑19 who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and behavioural challenges, helping them engage with learning and develop emotional regulation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist students with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Support engagement in learning activities and help implement personalised strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and senior staff to monitor progress and adapt support plans.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs.
- Calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional support.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to commit to a full‑time role in Greenwich.
