About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in the London Borough of Sutton. You will work with students aged 11‑19 who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and behavioural challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist students with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Encourage engagement in learning activities and help maintain a positive learning environment.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs.
- Calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional support.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to commit to a full‑time role in Sutton.
