SEN Learning Support Assistant – KS1 (Mid Sussex)

About the role
Join a welcoming primary school in Mid Sussex as a SEN Learning Support Assistant for Key Stage 1. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to provide tailored support for pupils with special educational needs, helping them thrive in a nurturing classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support to KS1 pupils.
- Assist children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH.
- Implement individualized support plans in partnership with class teachers and the SENCo.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and inclusive learning.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Required profile
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Patient, caring, enthusiastic, and able to build trust with young learners.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
